Stride Partial Program

Young Adult PHP at HRI Hospital: Why Choose Us?

Navigating young adulthood can be challenging. You may be dealing with relationship changes, the pressures of college or the stress of finding a job after graduation. These transitions can be especially difficult if you have a mental health condition, such as severe anxiety or depression.

We can help. The young adult partial hospitalization program (PHP) at HRI Hospital helps people aged 18 to 24 recover from mental health issues without a hospital stay. The program meets Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3:20 p.m.

You can attend our Stride program in person or virtually. We provide breakfast and lunch if you attend in person. People typically come to our program for two weeks.

Our staff can guide you during this challenging stage of life and help you learn the tools you need to be confident and successful.

At HRI Hospital, you’ll find:

  • High-quality care: We maintain accreditation from the Joint Commission because of our commitment to providing high-quality mental health care.
  • Skilled care providers: You meet with master’s-level therapists for group therapy sessions and a nurse practitioner if you need medication management. You also meet with a case manager, who works with you to provide any resources you may need.
  • Evidence-based treatment: We provide therapy that’s grounded in research and our clinical experience to help you recover. Treatment methods include acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and expressive therapy (such as art and music therapy).
