Nurture Empower Support Thrive (NEST) IOP
The New & Expecting Mothers Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a structured, trauma-informed and supportive virtual day treatment program designed to meet the emotional, psychological and practical needs of individuals during pregnancy and the postpartum period. The program provides intensive therapeutic support while allowing participants to remain connected to their families and communities.
This program recognizes pregnancy and early parenthood as periods of heightened vulnerability, identity transition and emotional change. It integrates mental health treatment, psychoeducation and peer support to promote stability, empowerment and healthy attachment for both parent and child.
The program serves:
- Pregnant individuals
- Postpartum individuals
- New mothers experiencing mood disorders, anxiety, trauma-related symptoms, adjustment challenges or psychosocial stressors related to pregnancy and early parenting
Participants may include first-time parents, individuals with high-risk pregnancies, those navigating complex family dynamics or those requiring increased mental health support without inpatient hospitalization.
Program Structure
The IOP operates Monday through Friday, offering a consistent schedule that includes:
- Morning Check-In Groups to assess mood, symptoms and immediate needs
- Therapeutic and Educational Groups focused on pregnancy, postpartum preparation, mental health, relationships and practical life skills
- Afternoon Check-Out Groups to reinforce coping skills, set intentions and support continuity of care
