PHP Treatment for Women of Color at HRI Hospital: Why Choose Us?

Mental health disorders can be worsened by racial trauma and discrimination. We provide a supportive environment for BIWoC to heal from these issues.
The Ascend partial hospitalization program (PHP) for women of color at HRI Hospital helps women 18 and older recover from mental health disorders in an outpatient setting. The program meets Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. Sessions are led by therapists who are BIWoC, so they have a deep understanding of your needs and concerns.
Our PHP for women of color is available in person or virtually. We provide breakfast and lunch if you attend in person. The program usually lasts for two weeks.
Cultural factors play an important role in mental health treatment. Our therapists provide a supportive environment to help you feel understood and valued. You learn the coping skills you need to feel your best.
At HRI Hospital, you’ll find:
- High-quality care: We maintain national accreditation from The Joint Commission, recognizing our commitment to high-quality mental health care.
- Skilled care providers: Our staff is trained to take a trauma-informed approach to aid in your recovery. You work with BIWoC professionals, including master’s-level therapists, a nurse practitioner and a case manager, who can connect you with local resources and provide aftercare planning.
