Women’s Mental Health Treatment at HRI Hospital: Why Choose Us?
Being a woman comes with a unique set of challenges. Whether you’re dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression or another issue, we can help.
The women’s partial hospitalization program (PHP) at HRI Hospital helps women 18 and older recover from mental health disorders without a hospital stay. The program meets Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. It consists of women-only group therapy sessions led by master’s-level therapists.
You may attend our women’s program in person or virtually. If you attend in person, we provide breakfast and lunch. You can expect to attend the program for about two weeks.
We provide a supportive environment for women to share and process their emotions and experiences. Our goal is to empower you with coping skills to manage life stressors in a healthy way. You receive compassionate care in a nonjudgmental setting.
At HRI Hospital, you’ll find:
- High-quality care: We have national accreditation from The Joint Commission for our commitment to high-quality mental health care.
- Skilled care providers: You work with master’s-level therapists and a nurse practitioner for medication management. You also have regular meetings with a case manager, who can connect you with resources you may need and help with aftercare planning.
- Evidence-based treatment: Our treatments are grounded in research and our clinical knowledge to provide you with personalized care focused on your goals. They may include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), which teach you healthy coping skills.
- Structured environment: You attend five different therapy groups each day. Each session focuses on a different topic, such as trauma recovery, distress tolerance and building healthy relationships.
- Women of color group: Our Ascend PHP addresses the needs of Black, Indigenous and women of color, including those in the LGBTQ+ community.
- Convenient location: You can easily reach our facility via public transportation, including the subway and bus. If you prefer to drive, we offer plenty of parking.
